Thandekayo, (Zulu for warm welcome) is set on large sprawling gardens looking over the Hout Bay Valley and towards the sea.
A glance at the guestbook shows a recurring theme, visitors arriving as tourists and leaving as friends- promising to return soon.
Martin and Anita, the owners have become adept at providing their own unique brand of South African hospitality.
Martin is a very well known South African artist and professional photographer, who owns a gallery in Cape Town's Cape Quarter. Several of his works and those of his contemporaries are displayed throughout the guest house.
The rooms are all quite private, immaculately clean and with good views.
