Casareccio Cucina Italia- the name says it all- rich homespun cooking in an Italian kitchen. Houtbayers that have discovered Casareccio keep coming back, not just for Mama Lucia's good cooking, but also for the warmth and hospitality shown by the owner Jorge.
Jorge has a wealth of experience in running restaurants, and he has trained his service staff extremely well in his passion for people and food.
The usual Italian fare is on offer- many people claim Jorge's thin crust pizzas are the best in Hout Bay- the Casareccio (Chourico and Mushroom) is my favourite!
The menu includes a few Portuguese specialities- the Trinchado and Espatada are probably the best in Hout Bay.
