So we've reached the knockout stages of the RWC. There is nothing like watching the big game with a whole bunch of other fans. Hout Bay has got some really amazing places to watch the game- here are our recommended venues based on vibe, quality of breakfast, service and TV's!
The biggest game for most of us is the Springboks v Australia at 7:00am on Sunday morning. Arguably the best breakfast buffet in Cape Town- is Suikerbossie Restaurant. It is also a great place to bring the kids along! They open at 6:45am with coffee and croissants and breakfast start at 9:00am. Let's hope we will all be drinking champagne afterwards!
Hout Bay has a strong contingent of Irish supporters so the Saturday Ireland/Wales game 7:00am is going to be well supported. La Cuccina have organised a seperate viewing area for the Rugby all weekend and will be pumping- incidentally probably serving the best coffee in Hout Bay
The England/France game 9:30am is going to be the busiest game of Satuday- expect to hear the Poms in full song- Swing low sweet chariot! Best places to watch will be Dunes, Spiros and Casareccio.
New Zealand play Argentina on Sunday at 9:30. Gabriellas at Mainstream will be showing the game, and the Hout Bay Superspar have big screen next to their deli- where you can enjoy Nkosi's coffee while pretending to be out shopping.
