Snoekies Fish Market and Snoekies Fish and Chips can be found in two fabulously weatherbeaten buildings at the end of the Hout Bay harbour. Follow the road past the beach, Mariners Wharf, and main entrance to the harbour, keep left and follow the signs to Snoekies at the end of the road.
Snoekies is set in two fabulously weatherbeaten buildings (opposite the new Bay Market) Access is either from the road or preferably turn into the harbour (sometimes there is an admission of R5)
Hint: good place to park if you are visiting the market after your fish and chips!
If you are planning a fish braai- there is no better place to start than Snoekies- offering a wide variety of fresh and frozen seafood.
Snoekies are probably most famous for their Seafood Parcels and their Combos- they are remarkably good value still- and you just can't beat walking down the pier while you eat your takeaway!
All seafood is cooked while you wait and not precooked like other places. My favourite combo is snoek, calamari and chips- at R44.90 hard to beat! Always ask about the Catch of the Day!
